ANNOUNCEMENT! Caterpillar 555D [Diecast Masters 1:50]

Diecast Masters has during their worldwide kick-off at the International Toy Fair aka Spielwarenmesse 2016 announced their first line up with new to release Caterpillar scale models in their 1:50th scale diecast "High Line Series" and the scale model below was not listed among them:
  • Caterpillar 555D Skidder #85932
In fact, Despite the fact that Tonkin Replicas, end of January 2015, surprised us pleasantly with the announcement of this Caterpillar Forest machine scale model in their 1:50th scale Diecast Construction Series it was long uncertain if this model, whether or not through Tonkin Replicas would actually be manufactured and supplied.

In the end it turned out that a small production run of the Caterpillar 555D Wheel Skidder nonetheless was actually manufactured and supplied and exclusively sold through Central Valley Models in the USA. Thereby the story came outside that the molds were destroyed. So end of story!?

And now it appears that was not true at all and surprises Diecast Masters us with their version of the Caterpillar 555D Skidder. Great news for all collectors who were not able to get the Tonkin Replicas version!
