LATEST ADDITION! Caterpillar 3512 [Custom 1:50]
The past NAMAC swap meeting I met Ad Gevers, one of my best friends and fellow Caterpillar scale model collectors and took home the latest addition in my collection and directly took it to the photo set:
Once in a catalog of Buffalo Road Imports I had seen a black and white picture of this luxury fountain pen desk set with Caterpillar 3512 generator licensed cat product which was made in the in the eighties by Tonkin Replicas? (According the sticker on the bottom plate) of Pewter material in 1:50th scale.
Intended as a promotional gift and provided with a nameplate, they were often given after many years of loyal service. I was therefore pleasantly surprised when I after so many years found this set a few weeks ago at the Dutch EBAY and was given the opportunity to buy the set for a decent price from co-collector Ben Gelijk.
The Caterpillar 3512 Generator set Ad Gevers created is a "one of a kind" custom scale model. He dismantled the donor set from its wood base and added (as he always does -)) extra details including some scratch built features. As you can see it turned into a true museum piece and a very valuable and unique addition to my Caterpillar collection!

NEWS FLASH! IMC Models Construction models Webshop
IMC Models
moved in 2017 from the picturesque Montfoort to the more centrally
located Houten near Utrecht. IMC Models is now located at the Peppelkade
23, ZIP code 3992 AL, in Houten, The Netherlands.
Not coincidentally within walking distance of the location of the bimonthly NAMAC swap meeting at the EXPO Houten and so they offer collectors the opportunity to come over at the trading days between 09.00 and 16.00 as to visite the showroom and while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee to snif around in their shop for the latest scale models of Sarens, Nooteboom and of course the entire Caterpillar colelction made by Diecast Masters.
Also, there are always a number of remnants and B-choice models that you can get for a good price. So, this weekend, I gladly turned home with the Caterpillar 3516C HD Engine of the Caterpillar MT4400D AC Off-Highway Truck that was specially kept for me and with some extra spare parts, creates a beautiful cargo load in a mini Diorama. Thank you guys!

Many collectors and builders show on the Modelshow Europe their (rebuilt and/or radio controlled) models. Also a wide range of miniatures and related components for the model are offered for sale.

NEWS FLASH! The making of... ACCO Super Bulldozer
Custom scale model builder Matteo from Trilex Modelli hast started one of his latest projects: Building a ACCO Super Bulldozer in 1:50th scale.
The ACCO Super Bulldozer is the largest and most powerful Track-Type Tractor ever made. It was built in Italy, by the Umberto Acco company. The ACCO super bulldozer was constructed mainly of Caterpillar parts. This bulldozer has a gross weight of 183 tons and is powered by two 675hp Caterpillar engines and has a dozer blade that is 23 ft.
Today is the start of this "The making of... a ACCO Super Bulldozer" and during the coming period, Matteo will guide you by the complete design and construction process of this unique scale model, and the end result shall eventually, as a real custom builder wants to achieve display the 1: 1 machine as naturally as possible. You will be amazed with the high standards he sets!
Matteo will share his building skills through its construction photos with little notes to keep us informed of the building process. Gradually it shows the making of a unique model of the ACCO Super Bulldozer and welcome addition to my PoweredBy Caterpillar collection!

This week I received from Roy Ferguson Sales
in America this latest addition in my collection made by Classic
Construction Models (CCM) and today I was able to take it to the photo
set:
All aspects of the Caterpillar 637K Push-Pull Wheel Tractor-Scraper are captured just like the 1:1 version and to the usual level of CCM's exacting detail, including hydraulic lines, opening cab door and both impressive engine compartments. Retail Price: $299.95 and shipping cost.
My first impression: a very complete scale model a nice addition in my Caterpillar 637 Scraper series. More than well worth the wait! This is a must have for every Caterpillar collector.

The 17th Annual DHS Diecast Open House & Auction Weekend is held this weekend July 29-30th 2017. Be there: It will be a BLAST!
Once a year DHS opens their doors and invite the public in to check out the DHS 12,000 square foot facility. They clean the floors and unbox almost every model in stock, so don't miss this opportunity to see them up close!
Meet the DHS Staff and hang out with your fellow collectors and friends. DHS provides the venue and the food and you benefit! If you have been here before, come and see what is different this year. If you have never been here, you really need to check it out! And who knows, there could be a special sale going on only for attendees!

NEWS FLASH! Caterpillar 320D LRR [Custom 1:50]
Within our group of Caterpillar collectors are builders
who built various custom versions by using standard scale models as a
donor for their custom project.
So I was lucky to meet on the Model Show Europe 2017 in Ede fellow collector Lorenzo who made in-house, in a very limited edition, a custom upper body of the Caterpillar 320D LRR in 1:50th scale.

Dutch earthmoving contractors, their (Caterpillar) equipment and workers

companies.

NEWS FLASH! BouwmachineWeb.com visits PON Open House
On Sunday, July 16th, 2017 PON held a well-attended Open House at their location in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.
PON picked grand from this day, Twan Bierings was present twith its MAN TGX 10x4 Heavy Haulage tractor with low loader, loaded with a Caterpillar 990H Wheel Loader, and of from Pon Equipment Rental one showed a Caterpillar 336F UHD Demolition machine and a Caterpillar 340F LRE long reach Excavator.
In the spotlight: the new Caterpillar M315F, a short radius mobile Excavator in the 16 tons class. In addition, there were Caterpillar mini excavators, wheel loaders, Track-Type Excavators, Articulated Dump Trucks and a Track-Type Tractor.
The team from BouwmachineWeb.com was off course present at this Open House 2017 edition and made an comprehensive photo report.

The Eberhard EBIANUM doubles as a construction vehicle museum and a unique venue for all kinds of events.
On Saturday April 28th 2018 the EBIANUM Digger Museum celebrates its third year anniversary with a huge scale model exhibition. Outside the museum there will be a SAURER 6x6 Meeting.
In addition, the doors from the EBIANUM Digger Museum are open to the public each Saturdays and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 17:00. On the free Wednesday afternoon EBIANUM is open from 13:30 to 17:00. The entrance to the "moving experience for young and old" in EBIANUM is not for free, but well worth the entrance fee.

held Event in Bant (Noord-Oostpolder), The Netherlands.
It is a unique Event of historical earthmoving equipment. You can not only see classic and oldtimer earthmoving machinery up close but actually watch them while in action! This year there will once again present the necessary Caterpillar machines. Your chance to shoot great action shots.
This year the Event is held at 25, 26 and 27 may 2017. The location: Zandexploitatie "Schoterveld". The adress: Schoterpad, Bant (A6 exit 15 Emmeloord), The Netherlands.

Saturday, March 18th, 2017 the 26st Modelshow Europe was held in the flowerauction "Plantion" nearby the city Ede in the Netherlands.
On
this special exhibition one could see all kinds of miniatures and model
construction projects in the field of earthmoving, cranes and heavy
transport. This Modelshow Europe exhibition is unique by its grand
design and the only one in Europe.
Many collectors and builders showed on the Modelshow Europe their (rebuilt and/or radio controlled) models. Also a wide range of miniatures and related components for the modeller where offered for sale.
Dan Models from Roemenia, former known as Miniatur-Models.com, showed their Caterpillar DW10 with CW-10 La Plant Choate scraper (2e version). First impression: A must have for every Golden Oldie Wheel Tractor-Scraper collector.
