GL3D Models announced that his new custom made resin scale model in his "Golden Oldies" Series in 1:50th scale is available:

Dutch fellow collector and custom builder GL3D Models develops 3D printed scale models from mainly Golden Oldies. Besides Caterpillar are other (Excavator) classics from brands such as Poclain, Åkerman, Ford and Richier already emerged from his 3D printer.
This unique 3D printed model of the Caterpillar 206B FT (Fast Travel) Wheel Excavator is available in very limited numbers and only built on request. Sales price is 210,- euro for a ready built model and 160,- euro for a kit. GL3D Models does ship worldwide at actual shipping cost.

NEWS FLASH! DHS Diecast OPEN HOUSE 2017

The 17th Annual DHS Diecast Open House & Auction Weekend is held this weekend July 29-30th 2017. Be there: It will be a BLAST!

Once a year DHS opens their doors and invite the public in to check out the DHS 12,000 square foot facility. They clean the floors and unbox almost every model in stock, so don't miss this opportunity to see them up close!

Meet the DHS Staff and hang out with your fellow collectors and friends. DHS provides the venue and the food and you benefit! If you have been here before, come and see what is different this year. If you have never been here, you really need to check it out! And who knows, there could be a special sale going on only for attendees!

DHS is hosting a huge Summer Auction (if you haven't already heard). The big date is set for July 29th, the day before our 17th Annual Open House Event! Jake’s Die Cast Models located on Vancouver Island BC is the die cast collector haven in Canada. Jake (aka Bob) has a great interest in the hobby of collecting models of all different types, scales of transportation and construction equipment. NEWS FLASH! Caterpillar 320D LRR [Custom 1:50]

Within our group of Caterpillar collectors are builders who built various custom versions by using standard scale models as a donor for their custom project.
So I was lucky to meet on the Model Show Europe 2017 in Ede fellow collector Lorenzo who made in-house, in a very limited edition, a custom upper body of the Caterpillar 320D LRR in 1:50th scale.

• Caterpillar 320D LRR Hydraulic Excavator

This highly detailed custom scale model, made of resin material, is combined with the matching cabin protection and by then using the boom and the undercarriage of the donor Caterpillar 323D Hydraulic Excavator (a 320D is also an option) from Norscot in scale 1:50th will be soon by Gertjan for me transformed into a realistic replica of this "reduced tail swing" machine.

BouwmachinesvanToen-Archief is the new name for the website of Huub van Dijk. He created a unique digital photo museum of Dutch earthmoving contractors, their (Caterpillar) equipment and workers in the last century.Huubs website is mainly based on long gone companies.

The website BouwmachinesvanToen-Archive deals with Dutch equipment, sometimes they make an exception, such as now for the "Best of the West" show held from 26th to May 28th, 2017 in Santa Margaritan, USA. Check out the very extensive photo shoot of this super event and take the time because there are lots of photos and video clips !!!

OUT SOON! Laster & Bagger 4-2017

Laster & Bagger is launched in 2017 as the new name for Baggermodelle THE full color magazine for collectors of Trucks (Laster) & construction (Bagger) machine models, cranes, Trucks and heavy haulage. The magazine is writen in German. Detailed English translations of the main sections and features for every issue are available on the website.

This means that from today Laster & Bagger alongside the existing sections there is also extra space for Trucks: So, more content and more to enjoy reading!

The fourth edition of Laster & Bagger will be out soon! The magazine presses are running while you are reading this. The Magazine will be available half way July 2017.

In this issue, among other interesting articles, full attention for the modern Caterpillar 631K, 637K and 637K Coal Body Wheel-Tractor Scrapers which where spring 2017 released by CCM in 1:48th scale.

NEWS FLASH! BouwmachineWeb.com visits PON Open House

On Sunday, July 16th, 2017 PON held a well-attended Open House at their location in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands.

PON picked grand from this day, Twan Bierings was present twith its MAN TGX 10x4 Heavy Haulage tractor with low loader, loaded with a Caterpillar 990H Wheel Loader, and of from Pon Equipment Rental one showed a Caterpillar 336F UHD Demolition machine and a Caterpillar 340F LRE long reach Excavator.

In the spotlight: the new Caterpillar M315F, a short radius mobile Excavator in the 16 tons class. In addition, there were Caterpillar mini excavators, wheel loaders, Track-Type Excavators, Articulated Dump Trucks and a Track-Type Tractor.

In addition, the doors from the EBIANUM Digger Museum are open to the public each Saturdays and Sundays and holidays from 10:00 to 17:00. On the free Wednesday afternoon EBIANUM is open from 13:30 to 17:00. The entrance to the "moving experience for young and old" in EBIANUM is not for free, but well worth the entrance fee.
